Local communities are key actors in protecting nature.
Their rights, knowledge, and perspectives must be at the heart of national and global biodiversity strategies.
Strengthening Indigenous Peoples’ rights and protecting biodiversity is the focus of the new Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH training manual.
The manual offers:
✅ Clear guidance on global biodiversity targets
✅ Practical tools for advocacy and participation
✅ Strategies for inclusive biodiversity planning
Developed by The Indigenous Peoples Rights International, Forest Peoples Programme, the International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity and the Indigenous Women Biodiversity Network (IWBN).
