Bediding Phenomenon

Bediding Phenomenon

The “bediding” phenomenon is a seasonal cold spell in Indonesia’s dry season (June–September), most noticeable at night and early morning, especially in Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara. It occurs due to clear skies, dry air, and Australian monsoon winds, causing rapid cooling and sometimes frost in highland areas like Dieng.
